CA is proud to introduce the most accurate rear backing plate shields on the market. They’ve taken the time to listen to installers’ feedback and corrected many of the issues found with existing reproductions and replacements currently on the market. CA worked hard making sure that every hole was examined and corrected where needed. More importantly, they eliminated the “domed” dimple design where the parking brake shoes rest. This “domed” design causes the parking brake shoes to shift ever so slightly and drag inside the rotor causing premature wear and noise. In the past, rebuilders would have to spend labor time modifying these dimples to ensure a trouble free fit. But no more! CA’s new design is flat just like the General Motors original backing plates, giving your parking brake the flat edge that it needs to operate correctly for years to come. These backing plates can be considered exact duplicates of GM’s design, but lack the GM numbers being stamped into them.
